The founder of Riders Choice Bikes competed in his first BMX
race in California
in 1975 at age 8 and was hooked. He went on to compete at the local, state and
national levels until getting into sports car racing at age 17.
Fast forward 22
years. Now age 39 with kids of his own, what better to do than go BMX’n!
A few months after
getting the kids started, they were telling their dad to get a bike and come
out to ride with them. He bought a used cruiser on eBay and started racing…….again.
Riders Choice Bikes was
started in the back of the family’s automotive business to serve the needs of
local racers and street and park riders.
Within one year
Riders Choice retail store was expanding. We purchased a 20 foot trailer at
that time and began vending at local and state championship series races.
The Riders Choice
Bikes racing team was formed of local riders and has now expanded to include an
ABA Factory Team, Bike Shop Team and a Trophy Team.
Riders Choice Bikes
gives back to the BMX scene in many ways. Several of our team members serve as
volunteers at local and state level races and many members of our team and
staff members have donated time on track improvement projects at local
tracks.
We are not just
racers. Many of the people behind the scenes at Riders Choice Bikes just love to
ride bikes. Any and every bike we can. Street, park, trails, dirt jumps,
downhill, mountain bikes, fixies, a road bike on a trainer when it’s raining
and even the occasional greenway ride on a beach cruiser!
In the winter of
2010-2011 the Riders Choice Bikes retail store again expanded. The display area
and repair shop have grown as has our in house stock warehouse.
No one at Riders
Choice ever sits still, so what was next…..a web store.
After two years in
development we are very happy to invite every rider worldwide to our new web
site and online store, riderschoicebikes.com.
We look forward to
bringing you, the rider, the best products and the best shopping experience
available online.
